In 1994, Kirk A Johnson took the lead and organized a talented group of Minneapolis musicians to support original music written by KAJ, Kathleen A Johnson & Walter Chancellor Jr. 

The KAJ Orchestra was hired to be the house band for Prince’s club Glam Slam. That is when KAJ put together his 1st version of the orchestra that included core members.
Kirk A Johnson - Drums, Kathleen A Johnson - Vocals, Rhonda Johnson - Vocals, Walter Chancellor Jr - Sax, Tony Axtell - Bass, Todd Burrell - Keys, Jeanine Nesbit - Keys and
Deevo Dee - Guitar.

The core members of The KAJ Orchestra have decided to reunite with a special quarantine video performance and their re-release “Black Guru” featuring Walter Chancellor Jr, Todd Burrell and Deevo Dee.
